Special Weather Statement issued January 12 at 4:16AM MST by NWS Salt Lake City UTAt 415 AM MST...A snow squall was moving into northern Utah County,over Lehi, moving south at 15 mph.Locations impacted include...Provo, Sandy, Orem, Lehi, Draper, Riverton, Pleasant Grove,Cottonwood Heights, American Fork, Eagle Mountain, Lindon, Alpine,Bluffdale, Vineyard, Granite, Utah Lake, Little Cottonwood CreekValley, Camp Williams, Little Cottonwood Canyon, and SaratogaSprings.This includes Interstate 15 between mile markers 267 and 291.* visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter mile inthis squall.* sudden and brief snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour arepossible in this squall.Rapid visibility reduction and potentially icy roads are likely toproduce hazardous driving conditions. Travel is not advised duringthis snow squall.
