Total snow accumulations of 4 to7 inches across much of Geauga County, southern Lake County, andinland Ashtabula County. Accumulations of 2 to 5 inches areexpected in northern Ashtabula County, north of I-90 in LakeCounty, and southern and eastern Cuyahoga County. Western CuyahogaCounty will see lighter accumulations.* WHERE...Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, Cuyahoga, Geauga,and Lake Counties.* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditionscould impact the Friday evening commute.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A burst of snow will accompany a front thisevening followed by lake effect snow showers. A narrow band ofheavier snow connected to Lake Huron is expected to drift acrossparts of eastern Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula Counties for much ofSaturday with rates up to 1 inch per hour. If this band ispersistent in one area, locally higher amounts are possible.Slow down and use caution while traveling.The Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Turnpike andInfrastructure Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed alltravel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.
