For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold windchills 40 to 55 below expected.* WHERE...Benson, Cavalier, Eddy, Nelson, Pembina, Ramsey, Towner,and Western Walsh Counties.* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 9 PM CST this evening.For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 9 PM this evening to noon CSTTuesday.* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 55 below zerocould cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin isexposed to these temperatures.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There may be a period where wind chillsbecome warmer than 40 below zero Monday afternoon before dippingagain Monday evening into Tuesday morning.If spending time outside, dress appropriately by covering as muchexposed skin as possible. Dress in layers. Wear a face mask and warmgloves, hat, socks and boots.
