Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 16 at 4:05PM EST until November 17 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC* WHAT...Up to two feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Areas along Bogue Banks beaches, Bogue Sound, theNewport and White Oak Rivers, and adjacent tidal creeks, andareas in North Topsail Beach, the lower New River, andadjacent tidal creeks.* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST Sunday.* IMPACTS...Up to 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level ispossible in some areas near shorelines and tidal waterwaysresulting in an elevated threat of property damage. Some roadsand low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns, andhomes adjacent to the waterfront will experience shallowflooding.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
