In western New York, Allegany,Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara,Northern Erie, Ontario, Orleans, Southern Erie, Wayne and Wyoming.* WHEN...Through Thursday afternoon.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff from significant snowmelt and a generalhalf inch of rain may result in flooding of rivers, smallertributaries, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Themost prone areas for flooding will be where ice jams typicallydevelop.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- A strong storm system will pass northwest of the regiontonight, with rain and very warm temperatures resulting inrapid runoff. Excessive runoff from rain and snowmelt willresult in significant rises on area rivers and creeks.
