Travel will be difficult,especially for high profile vehicles.Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, andavoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use cautionif you must drive.

Lake Effect Snow Warning issued February 16 at 3:20PM EST until February 19 at 6:00AM EST by NWS Binghamton NY* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, mixed precipitation.Additional snow accumulations of one to two inches and a lightglaze of ice. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, Total snowaccumulations between 10 and 20 inches over the two and a half daytime period. Locally up to 2 feet of snow possible over northwestOneida County. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph tonight into Mondaywill likely create hazardous whiteout conditions.* WHERE...Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida Counties.* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 7 PM EST this evening.For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, from 7 PM this evening to 6 AMEST Wednesday.* IMPACTS...Scattered power outages and tree damage are possible dueto the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. Areas of blowingand drifting snow could significantly reduce visibility, causingblizzard conditions and whiteouts in open exposed locations. Thehazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and eveningcommutes. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees andpower lines.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy lake effect snow will combine withstrong northwest winds late tonight into Monday to bring nearblizzard conditions at times in the heaviest lake effect snowbands.
