Flood Warning issued July 3 at 11:42AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO...The National Weather Service in St Louis MO has issued a FloodWarning for the following rivers in Missouri...Illinois...Mississippi River near Herculaneum.Mississippi River at Alton.Mississippi River at St. Louis.River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecastprecipitation for the next 24 hours.* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Mississippi River at St. Louis.* WHEN...From Friday afternoon until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 31.9 feet, The entrance to the parking garage justnorth of Eads bridge begins flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 11:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.4 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stageearly Friday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 31.5feet early Saturday afternoon.- Flood stage is 30.0 feet.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drivecars through flooded areas.Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise evenhigher than predicted.
