Total snow accumulations between 2 and8 inches.* WHERE...Eastern Mackinac, Western Chippewa, and Western MackinacCounties, and Beaver Island and surrounding islands.* WHEN...From 4 AM to 7 PM EST Wednesday.* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, willlikely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions areexpected and will make travel treacherous and potentiallylife-threatening.Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutelynecessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for suddenchanges in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and themotorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach yourdestination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especiallycautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car iswinterized and in good working order.
