In West Virginia,Western Grant, Western Pendleton and Eastern PendletonCounties.* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Thursday.* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if exposed tothese temperatures. An extended period of freezingtemperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very cold air temperatures between zerodegrees and 10 degrees below zero expected.Wear protective clothing such as a hat, facemask and heavy glovesor mittens if you have plans to be outdoors. To prevent freezingand possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should bewrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-groundpipes to protect them from freezing.
