Peak monthly tides will lead to minor coastalflooding in the typical low-lying vulnerable areas in the earlymornings.* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 9 to13 feet. For the Coastal Flood Statement, isolated minorcoastal flooding.* WHERE...Portions of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Oahu and the BigIsland.* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 AM HST Monday. Forthe Coastal Flood Statement, through Monday morning.* IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minorcoastal erosion, and saltwater inundation. Moderate. Strongbreaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced todrive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle withfresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables tohigher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't gettoo tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps.
