Water may reach the dune line orsea wall along vulnerable beaches. Rip currents can sweep eventhe best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.Onshore winds and above normal tides will combine to generateflooding of low areas along the shore. Do not drive aroundbarricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessaryactions to protect flood-prone property.Entering the surf is strongly discouraged. If caught in a ripcurrent, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. Ifable, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable toescape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
