Winter Weather Advisory issued November 25 at 5:31AM AKST until November 27 at 3:00AM AKST by NWS Juneau AK...LONG DURATION SNOW EVENT FOR PORTIONS OF THE PANHANDLE....Low pressure will move into the NE Gulf of Alaska from theBering Sea on Monday then remain relatively stationary throughTuesday. Moisture will clash with established stable, dry air toproduce consistent snow for portions of the northern Panhandle.Long duration snowfall will cause accumulations to occur,particularly in the Juneau area.* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 14inches.* WHERE...City and Borough of Juneau.* WHEN...From 6 PM Monday to 3 AM AKST Wednesday.* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditionscould impact the morning and evening commute on Tuesday.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow characteristic will begin as dry andfluffy and will increase in moisture over time. Expect snowrates to remain consistent throughout the event with around 4inches falling over 12 hour periods.
