For the second Extreme Cold Warning, from 10 PMEST /9 PM CST/ this evening to 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ Thursday.* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skinis exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezingtemperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.Wear protective clothing such as a hat, face mask and heavy glovesor mittens if you have plans to be outdoors.To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipesthey should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
