It is moving North Northeastward slowly. Meanwhile, the center of the eye of Typhoon "PEPITO" {MAN-YI} was estimated based on all available data at 250 km East Northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (12.1°N, 127.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 215 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 25 km/h. The 12-hour rainfall forecast is moderate to HEAVY rains. It is forecast to move northwestward throughout the forecast period, traversing southern Taiwan and emerging over the sea east of Taiwan from tonight until tomorrow (16 November) evening. OFEL is forecast to further weaken due to the increasingly unfavorable environment and interaction with the mountainous terrain of Taiwan, possibly downgrading into a remnant Low on Sunday (17 November) evening or earlier.
