snowfall warning in effectSnowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.A low pressure system moving in from Montana will result in heavy snowfall today for parts of southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba. Latest model guidance and radar trends indicate heavy snowfall is likely with generally 8-12 cm falling by Sunday morning. Locally higher amounts of 15 cm are possible over the higher terrain in the Moose Mountains, and Riding Mountains. Slippery road conditions will also be a hazard with this system as cold air will begin to move into the region overnight tonight, creating icy road conditions Sunday morning. Snow should taper off late this evening/overnight tonight as the low weakens and moves into eastern Manitoba.###Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
