Advarsler
special weather statement in effectConvective flurries with a potential for snow squalls. When: Now to Sunday morning. Where: North Vancouver Island, Central Coast - coastal sections, and Haida Gwaii.Additional information: A cold unstable airmass is spreading from Haida Gwaii to the south coast tonight. Conditions will become favourable for scattered flurries and a risk of snow squalls. On Saturday, another low pressure centre is developing near the central coast, enhancing the chance of snow squalls. The low pressure centre is moving to the south coast on Sunday, giving Haida Gwaii and the central coast a drying trend. A snow squall is a short period of moderate or heavy snowfall with strong gusty winds, causing a sharp reduction in visibility. Roads may be slippery and visibility may be poor in the snow.###Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
