snowfall warning in effectSnowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.When: Wednesday through Friday midday.Where: Yellowhead Highway - Tête Jaune Cache to the Alberta Border.Remarks: A low pressure system over the Gulf of Alaska will bring snow to parts of the northern and central BC interior beginning Wednesday morning and continuing until Friday morning. Light flurries on Wednesday will transition to more consistent snowfall by Wednesday night, continuing through Friday. Snowfall may be heavy at times on Thursday and Thursday night as the system moves across the central BC interior. Conditions are expected to improve Friday as the system moves eastward and away from BC.###Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/.Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
