Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.* WHERE...Western Grant County.* WHEN...Until noon EST Thursday.* IMPACTS...Brief whiteout conditions are possible with visibilitiesdropping below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Thestrong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power linesand could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be verydifficult along US-48 west of Scherr, WV. The hazardous conditionslook to worsen during the overnight hours.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates around 0.5 to 1 inch per hourare possible at times through Thursday morning especially inembedded snow squalls. Wind chills of 15 to -5 are possiblethrough Thursday morning.If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water inyour vehicle in case of an emergency.
