The Saluda River below Saluda Lake isreceding after a prolonged crest above 20 feet, while downstream,the river has only recently begun falling. The river will not fallback below Action/Advisory Stage until late Sunday. Flooding alongthe Saluda River is the worst flooding observed in the modern era,exceeding even the flooding which occurred on February 6-7, 2020.Catastrophic flooding of several areas along the river is ongoing,including along Riverview Dr, Riverview Cir, Shady Acres Cir, OldEasley Bridge Rd, Lakeview Dr, Dolly Cooper Park, Old Dunham BridgeRd, Riverside Dr, Lyman St, and Adger St. This flooding is impactingseveral homes, forcing evacuation and relocation.* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.This approaches the flood of record.* WHERE...Saluda River near above Old Easley Rd, 5 W Greenville.* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Major Flood Stage continues. The SaludaRiver has reached the highest levels seen in the modern era. TheSaluda River crested at 16.13 ft on February 6, 2020. Floodwatersof 1-3 feet deep may be inundating buildings closest to the riveron Shop Ct.
