Flood Warning issued September 29 at 1:37PM EDT until September 30 at 2:00PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC* WHAT...Flooding caused by runoff from earlier excessive rainfallis occurring.* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including thefollowing counties, Burke, Caldwell and McDowell.* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT Monday.* IMPACTS...Flooding due to runoff and release of water over LakeJames and Lake Rhodhiss.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 122 PM EDT, emergency management reported flooding alongthe shores and downstream of Lake James and Lake Rhodhiss.Flooding is already occurring. Lake levels may fluctuate aswater is released.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Hickory, Morganton, Marion, Longview, Sawmills, GraniteFalls, Valdese, Salem, Icard, Drexel, Connelly Springs,Rutherford College, Glen Alpine, Rhodhiss, Lake James StatePark, Lake James, Lake Rhodhiss, Hickory Regional Airport,Lake Hickory and Oak Hill.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodPlease stay away from the area and allow first responders to performtheir recovery efforts.
