Flood Warning issued September 27 at 3:08PM EDT until September 27 at 8:15PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including thefollowing counties, Jackson and Transylvania.* WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roadsremain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due toexcess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings areinundated with water and may not be passable.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 308 PM EDT, emergency management reported Numerousroadways are flooded and impassable, and hundreds of treesare down across the area amid completely saturated ground inthe warned area. Flooding is already occurring, due tobetween 6 and 9 inches of rainfall in the last 24 hours. Atleast one landslide has been reported by emergencymanagement, resulting in a partial closure of highway 64 inJackson County.
