Total snow accumulations 4to 5 feet in the most persistent lake snows.* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. The greatestaccumulations are expected near Watertown and the northern TugHill region. Lake effect snow will be north of Oswego County muchof the time, but heavy snow will likely move south Sunday nightinto Oswego County.* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Monday.* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible with deepsnow cover on roads and extremely poor visibility. The hazardousconditions will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, beprepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.Submit snow reports through our website or social media.During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locallyheavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions justa few miles away.
