Flows in rivers may increase quickly and reach criticallevels.* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Essex County in New York and all of Vermont except forGrand Isle County.* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- A strong storm system will continue to bring periods ofmoderate to possibly heavy rain to Vermont and parts ofnorthern New York this evening into the overnight hours. Thisrainfall, in combination with snow melt due warmingtemperatures will likely to lead to flooding in poor drainageand urban areas, as well as along some main stem rivers.Total rainfall expected will between an inch to two inches,with locally higher amounts possible.
