Heat Advisory issued July 10 at 2:19PM MDT until July 11 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Glasgow MT* WHAT...High temperatures reaching up to 105 degrees.* WHERE...A portion of northeast Montana.* WHEN...From 11 AM to 9 PM MDT Thursday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses to occur.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehiclesunder any circumstances. Car interiors can reach lethal temperaturesin a matter of minutes.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
