In northeast Minnesota, Cook, Lake andcentral and northern St. Louis Counties. This includes the TribalLands of the Grand Portage Reservation and the Bois Forte Band,Deer Creek, Nett Lake and, Lake Vermilion areas. Recreation spotssuch as Voyageurs National Park. The entire Boundary Waters isalso included.* WHEN...From this afternoon through Tuesday evening.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff on top of saturated soils and stillhigh rivers and lakes may result in flooding of rivers, creeks,streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Elevatedflows may lead to flooding on area rivers that are popular forwaterfall viewing.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Heavy rainfall is once again possible across areas ofnorthern Minnesota that have not yet fully recovered fromseveral rounds of heavy rain and flooding in late June.Streamflows are above normal and soils are saturated.Rainfall of three quarters to one and half inches areexpected across much of the watch area, with localized areasof 2 inches or more possible.
