The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.* WIND...Sustained winds to 25 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50mph.* HUMIDITY...Relative humidity as low as 20%.* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly andbecome difficult to control. Outdoor burning is notrecommended.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A significant wind shift is expected fromwest to east starting late this morning as a cold fronttraverses the region. Winds will initially be from the southbefore shifting to the west. There will be a brief lull in windgusts after the front passes before winds rapidly increase oncemore in the afternoon.A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditionsare either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination ofstrong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures cancontribute to extreme fire behavior.
