Cold Weather Advisory issued January 21 at 1:42PM EST until January 22 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Northern Indiana* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero.* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, andnorthwest Ohio.* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ Wednesday.* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zerocould cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin isexposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead tohypothermia with prolonged exposure.Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, ahat, and gloves.Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensureportable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grillsinside.
