These winds, combined with persistent positiveanomalies and high tide, will result in storm surge flooding of1 to 3 feet above ground level. For reference, the recent KingTides reached 1.5 feet above mean higher high water. On theAtlantic side, the saltwater flooding will likely approach thepeak levels observed at this morning's high tide. On theGulfside, confidence is high in an extended period of somesaltwater flooding, although there continues to be quite a bitof uncertainty in the expected water levels.* WHERE...Florida Keys.* WHEN...Until 6 AM EDT early this morning.* IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying propertyincluding homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructurewill be inundated. Some shoreline erosion will occur.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Iftravel is required, do not drive around barricades or throughwater of unknown depth.
