Some flooding of low-lying lots,parks and roadways may occur near the shoreline. Water mayreach the dune line or sea wall along vulnerable beaches.Onshore winds and above normal tides will combine to generateflooding of low areas along the shore. Do not drive aroundbarricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessaryactions to protect flood-prone property.Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly awayfrom shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in thesandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties andpiers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags andsigns. Entering the surf is strongly discouraged.
