Surf will be highest across west- facing beaches.Strong and dangerous rip currents are expected.* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa BarbaraCounty Central Coast Beaches.* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until noon PST today.For the High Surf Advisory, until 3 AM PST Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of sea water is likely, around the time ofhigh tide this morning, over vulnerable low-lying coastal areassuch as parking lots, beaches, and walkways. Significant damageto roads or structures is NOT expected. There is an increasedrisk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers andsurfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, washpeople off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. DoNOT drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or staynear occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly insuch conditions, stay off the rocks.
