Flood Watch issued November 9 at 11:03PM AST until November 10 at 8:00PM AST by NWS San Juan PRThe Flood Watch continues for* Portions of Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands, including thefollowing areas, in Puerto Rico, Central Interior, Culebra,Eastern Interior, Mayaguez and Vicinity, North Central,Northeast, Northwest, Ponce and Vicinity, San Juan andVicinity, Southeast, Southwest, Vieques, and Western Interior.In Virgin Islands, St Croix and St.Thomas...St. John...andAdjacent Islands....FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall and runoff continuesto be possible.* WHERE...Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra, and the U.S.Virgin Islands.* WHEN...Through at least Sunday evening.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding mayoccur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditchesmay become clogged with debris. Extensive street flooding andflooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Mudslides androckfall are likely, mainly in areas with saturated soils.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Abundance of tropical moisture from a lingering frontalboundary extending across the region, southerly winds bringingadditional tropical moisture, and the presence of a tropicalwave crossing the region will maintain favorable conditionshighly conducive to flooding. Eastern and southeastern PuertoRico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are expected to experiencethe heaviest rainfall. With soils already saturated andstreamflows elevated, the risk of flash flooding will besignificantly increased with any extended periods of heavyrain. Flood Advisory issued November 9 at 10:18PM AST until November 10 at 1:30AM AST by NWS San Juan PR* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the followingcounties, Aguas Buenas, Caguas, Cayey, Cidra and Gurabo.* WHEN...Until 130 AM AST.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1018 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain hasfallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Cidra, Aguas Buenas, Caguas, Cayey, Gurabo, Santa Clara,Bairoa, Celada, Sumidero, G. L.
