snow squall warning in effectLake effect snow squalls through this evening.Hazards:Additional snowfall accumulations possibly exceeding 25 cm for areas west of Elliot Lake and Blind River.Poor visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow.Timing:Ending near midnight.Discussion:Lake effect snow squalls off Lake Superior will continue through this evening. The worst conditions are expected west of Blind River along Highway 17 and west of Highway 129. Poor visibility with accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are expected for the Elliot Lake and Blind River areas. As is common with snow squalls, snowfall amounts will be highly variable.###Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
