special weather statement in effectThe first accumulating snowfall of the season is expected this weekend.Total snowfall: near 5 cm, except possibly exceeding 10 cm over the higher terrain of White Bay and the Long Range Mountains.Locations: Green Bay - White Bay, Buchans and the Interior, Deer Lake and vicinity, and Gros Morne.Time span: tonight and Saturday.Remarks: Precipitation may fall mainly as rain along parts of the coast. There remains some uncertainty with regards to the timing and accumulations associated with this system. Any small shift in the track of the low may push higher or lower amounts into some areas.
