Precipitation with this system will begin as snow, before transitioning through freezing rain to rain with temperatures potentially rising into the double digits for many areas on Thursday. The biggest impact from this system will be the freezing rain Wednesday night which could persist for several hours in some areas, especially inland where freezing rain warnings could be issued. Fortunately, temperatures will rise significantly on Thursday so any ice buildup will melt quickly. Behind the storm, temperatures will fall again rapidly Thursday night, especially over western Labrador resulting in a possible flash freeze. Travel could become difficult.
