DAMAGING WESTERLY WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are likely across southern and eastern parts of Tasmania for a period during Friday morning, with peak gusts in excess of 110 km/h possible in the south and southeast, including Hobart. Winds are expected to ease below warning thresholds by around midday Friday.
