East to northeasterly winds with DAMAGING WIND GUSTS with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are likely to develop over parts of the Flinders Ranges and its immediate western slopes from early Saturday morning. Damaging wind gusts are forecast to ease below warning thresholds by Saturday afternoon. Locations which may be affected include Hawker, Melrose, Parachilna and Quorn.Severe Weather Warningfor DAMAGING WINDSIssued at 10:23 am Friday, 5 July 2024.The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move vehicles under cover or away from trees; * Secure or put away loose items around your property. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.The next Severe Weather Warning will be issued by 5:00 pm ACST Friday.Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
