DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h, are forecast in the warning area during Thursday morning and early afternoon, with the risk easing in the mid to late afternoon. Severe thunderstorms are also possible across much of the west of the State. A separate Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued for these areas if required. Locations which may be affected include Ceduna, Wudinna, Maralinga, Cook, Nullarbor and Streaky Bay.Severe Weather Warningfor DAMAGING WINDSIssued at 4:42 am Thursday, 3 October 2024.The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move vehicles under cover or away from trees; * Secure or put away loose items around your property. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.The next Severe Weather Warning will be issued by 11:00 am ACST Thursday.Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
