Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Brisbane, Gympie, Ipswich, Caboolture, Jimboomba and Nambour. Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED. 4 cm hailstones were recorded at Greenbank around 5:30pm. 4 cm hailstones were recorded at Wyaralong around 4:45pm. 3 cm hailstones were recorded at Haigslea around 4:45pm. 113 km/h wind gust was recorded at Blackwater Airport at 5:20pm.Severe Thunderstorm Warningfor DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALLIssued at 5:47 pm Thursday, 14 November 2024.Emergency services advise people to: * Park your car undercover away from trees. * Close doors and windows. * Keep asthma medications close by.
